Inna Lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un. May Allah grant the best of paradise to Muhammad Ali, the Greatest Athlete and Humanitarian.
As Ali himself said, he left ‘his slave name’ of Cassius that he was born as, to embrace Islam. Ali had great respect for Sufism and chose his name after the two greatest in history, Muhammad and Ali.
Muhammad Ali is the only person in Hollywood “Walk of Fame”, whose name doesn’t appear on floor. He refused to have revered names of Muhammad S.A.W and Ali R.A. on the floor, and Hollywood agreed to name his name on the Wall.
