Love whispers in my ear: Poem from Masnavi by Rumi

Love whispers in my ear: Poem from Masnavi by Rumi

Love whispers in my ear

“Do not be hunter, be the victim of love

Submit your reasoning; just be naïve in love

Do not try be a Sun, merely become a dust particle [that reflects Sun and shines]

Just be homeless at my door

Do not be a candle, but a moth [who dies in love of candle]

So you can drink from Life itself

and know the power of being a servant [of God]”

Masnavi Verses 411-414
