Allama Iqbal was a poet of Nazm, unlike the classical poets such as Ghalib and Mir who focuses on Ghazals. Ghazals poets focused mainly on love poems and women’s, but Allama Iqbal change the whole genre with deeper and meaningful poetry as he presented Human as Mard-e-Momim who reflects Allah’s attributes, strong and powerful. This is reflected in Iqbal’s poem below, which is inspired from Mevlana Rumi, whom Allama always called him spiritual mentor.

ہاتھ ہے الله کا بندہ مومن کا ہاتھ
غالب و کار آفریں، کار کشا، کارساز
